“This is an oil painting that I completed in the summer of 2015, while taking a class at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts with Ken Freed. The lobster trap was bought in Buzzard’s Bay, Cape Cod (one of my favorite places). The decoys are from our personal collection. I set them all up on a woodpile in our barn, and painted it. My wife, Cindy (owner of PJ’s Frame-Up) chose the frame. The weathered look and color are the perfect accent to my painting. I think we work well together!”
